UPDATED MAP
The map has been updated to show the affected area more clearly. Here is the website link to full Advisory & updated map. If you receive your water from Ledgeview, you are not effected.
WHEN WILL IT BE SAFE?
We are currently flushing the water mains and the storage facilities. Once this is done we will collect water samples; we will do this on two consecutive days under the direction of the DNR. When the DNR notifies us that the boil/bottled water advisory is no longer necessary, we will notify the public by WTAQ, Green Bay Press Gazette, WFRV, WBAY, WLUK, NBC 26 and will be posted on our website: VillageOfBellevueWI.gov.
WHAT IF I DRANK THE WATER?
The Village has no documentation of bacteriological contamination – this is an advisory only until we can collect samples to verify the water is free of bacteria. This advisory was issued due to a temporary loss of water pressure. When the water pressure drops below a certain point in the distribution system, there is a risk of contamination entering our drinking water and the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) requires a “boil/bottled water” notice to be issued. If you are experiencing issues or concerns regarding drinking the water, please contact the Department of Health or your local primary care provider.
IS IT SAFE TO SHOWER?
You may shower with the water, but we recommend you not bathe babies or toddlers who may accidentally ingest the water.
PETS
You may want to provide your pets with boiled or bottled water.
WATER LINES & FILTERS
Due to the pressure loss, there may be trapped air and loose sediment in your water lines. The air and sediment may be removed by flushing your water system. If you are using a water filter, do not flush your system through the water filter. The resulting air and sediment may affect the performance of your filter and the filter cartridge should be replaced after the boil water advisory is lifted.
