Huron Road Corridor Master Plan - 2024
The Huron Road Corridor Master Plan establishes a long-term vision for the future of one of the Village of Bellevue's most important transportation and development corridors. Building upon the goals of the Village's Comprehensive Plan, the Master Plan provides a framework for guiding future land use, transportation improvements, economic development, streetscape design, and public spaces along the Huron Road corridor.
Developed through collaboration with planning consultant ISG, Inc., the Huron Road Corridor Ad Hoc Committee, Village staff, property owners, stakeholders, and the public, the plan reflects a shared vision for creating a vibrant, connected, and attractive corridor that serves residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
For decades, the Village's Comprehensive Plan has emphasized the importance of proactively planning major corridors before significant development occurs. This approach helps ensure that future growth is intentional, coordinated, and reflective of Bellevue's vision for a unique sense of place. Rather than following a traditional suburban development pattern, the Huron Road Corridor Master Plan promotes a balanced mix of land uses, walkability, quality design, transportation choices, and economic vitality.
As a guiding planning document, the Master Plan will assist Village officials, developers, property owners, and residents in making informed decisions about future development and public investments along the corridor. While the plan establishes a long-term vision, individual projects and improvements will continue to be evaluated through the Village's public review and approval processes.
