Welcome to the Community Development Department
The Community Development Department is here to serve everyone—developers, business owners, and residents alike. Our department streamlines several essential village government functions aimed at improving our community. These functions include planning and zoning, building inspection, geographic information systems (G.I.S.), and economic development.
We work closely with other Village staff, the Village Board, the Plan Commission, and the Zoning Board of Appeals. This collaborative approach ensures that all aspects of community development are thoroughly considered and addressed.
