Police Services

DEOs

Since 2002, the Village of Bellevue has fostered a strong and reliable partnership with the Brown County Sheriffs Department, contracting its law enforcement services. This enduring relationship ensures top-quality police services at an efficient rate for our citizens, instilling a sense of trust and reliability in our community.

The Village has 24/7 coverage, with nine deputies working in rotating shifts. These dedicated deputies respond to calls for service, enforce local ordinances and state statutes, and assist other agencies. Their constant presence ensures the safety and protection of the Village of Bellevue residents, day and night.

The Village also has two "Directed Enforcement Officer" (DEO) positions (in addition to patrol staffing) whose responsibilities include finding long-term solutions to recurring problems within the community through the use of community policing principles. One DEO Deputy is also partially dedicated to addressing traffic concerns and staffing needs.

Our deputies are unwavering in their commitment to providing the highest quality of police protection to the residents of Bellevue. Their dedication ensures that our community is safe to live, work, and raise a family, providing our residents with a sense of reassurance and security.

The Village's main patrol station is located at the Public Safety Building/Village Hall, which also houses the Fire Department. However, this is not a walk-in police station, and those who require non-emergency assistance should contact the Brown County Sheriff's Department at (920) 448-4200.

For emergencies, please dial 911.
